Lufthansa Technik and Aeroflot Russian Airlines signed a contract on January 2010 to provide C-check service on Aeroflot’s four B767-300ER aircraft. Ameco Beijing, an MRO joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa German Airlines, will perform this work in Beijing.

The Shanghai Engine Center, a joint venture of Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), and China Eastern Airlines, delivered its first heavy overhauled CFM56® engine. The new center has capacity to overhaul up to 300 engines annually and is one of the largest CFM56 engine overhaul shops in Asia.

Sichuan Airlines today confirmed it has selected the IAE International Aero Engines V2500 to power its latest fleet of Airbus A320s currently on order. This deal includes V2500 SelectOneâ„¢ engines for 12 firm aircraft, due to be delivered between 2011 and 2015.

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, has won a share of an order from Sichuan Airlines for V2500 engines to power 12 Airbus A320 aircraft currently on order. The order is worth $100 million to Rolls-Royce.
