Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express Airways welcome the extension of the 10% discount in landing and parking charges at Hong Kong International Airport offered by the Airport Authority for another three months, until the end of March 2010.

This decision is in favor of Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express Airways as it facilitates them to increase frequencies and expand their worldwide network in 2010.

The relief package originally due to expire at the end of 2009 was intended to support the aviation industry on their roads to recovery. The extension is to further ease the airlines using HKIA as the market condition remains uncertain.
