Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that it will provide Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) repair and overhaul services for China Eastern Airlines’ aircraft over the next 10 years. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“Honeywell’s service centers are delivering exceptional customer support with fast turnaround times,” said Mike Madsen, vice president, Airlines, Honeywell Aerospace. “China Eastern has selected Honeywell for its leading customer service and the lowest cost of ownership for 331-350 maintenance.”

The agreement covers the 331-350 APU on 20 Airbus A330s and five Airbus A340s. The 331-350 APU’s mean time between repairs (MTBR) is more than 7,800 hours worldwide, providing operators with low cost of maintenance and ownership. With more than 12 million hours of service, the 331-350 is backed by service at Honeywell’s worldwide network of authorized service centers, which emphasize quality, turnaround time and regionally located engine banks.
