Dublin based lessor, AWAS, has delivered a Boeing 737-700 to Eastar Jet.

This is the second 737-700 which AWAS has leased Eastar Jet, the first was delivered in June of last year. This aircraft will operate on daily domestic routes linking Jeju, Cheongju and Gunsan with Seoul Gimpo International Airport. It will also join Eastar’s first AWAS 737-700 on international chartered services to Japan, China, and Southeast Asia destinations.

“The addition of a second AWAS 737-700 to our fleet is an important milestone in the growth of Eastar Jet as we expand our routes and increase our capacity. Access to such fuel efficient aircraft is central to our ambition to become one of the most popular low-budget carriers in Northeast Asia.” said Mr. Hae-Gu Yang, CEO of Eastar Jet.
