This was mainly due to less demand brought on by the negative impact of the earthquake in the Sichuan Province. The Company dedicated some of its capacity for earthquake relief purposes, resulting in less capacity allocated toward normal transportation. The slowing economic development combined with the impact of the earthquake on the Western China market also caused traffic, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres, to fall by 6.7% compared to the same period last year.
